Abstract: One of the most urgent and important problems in the field of safety of human and infrastructure safety in Russia is the engineering protection against snow avalanches, mudflows and landslides, including rockfalls. These dangerous natural phenomena can lead to serious consequences such as injuries and deaths of people, significant material losses, and environmental problems. However, despite the importance of this problem, it is often underestimated or not taken into account at all. But its solution is absolutely necessary and requires a deep and systematic approach.
