Mirnyy and A.S. Mosina) with a volume of more than 400 pages and handed it over to a printing house. This monograph (which was conceived primarily as a practical reference book) contains the necessary theoretical information on the theory of elasticity, plasticity and creep, as well as the information about more than 30 models implemented in the most popular geotechnical computational softwares, about their fields of application and methods for determining parameters. This book received positive reviews from professors G.G. Boldyrev and A.G. Shashkin. You will be able to purchase the book in October 2024 by sending an application to the next email address: sale@indep-geo.ru. The current contents of this monograph can be found at the next web link: https://disk.yandex.ru/d/X-iHTOKrwOC2-A. To provide insight into the style of presentation and the content of the book for the readers, we decided to publish some fragments from it (with the consent of the authors) in a series of articles. This article considers yield surfaces and the plastic flow laws.
Keywords: strength surface; yield surface; loading surface; hardening; softening; hardening law; associated plastic flow law; non-associated plastic flow law; plastic potential; plastic potential surface.
