Why are meetings often exhausting and how to make them effective?

Abstract: Meetings can be successful and unsuccessful, necessary (as it seems to the managers) and unnecessary (as subordinates sometimes think). Meetings can contribute to the search for effective solutions and, on the contrary, they can stultify the participants, take away their strength. The editorial staff of the “Geoinfo” journal asked some experts about how the communication systems are built in their companies, how often meetings are held there, what problems there are, as well as how to communicate in order to get the desired results, and how to act in difficult situations.
